CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Cancellation News: In this COVID-19 pandemic situation, CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students are eagerly waiting for one big decision - whether the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be cancelled or not. The demand from the students and the parents is to cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. However, on Wednesday, National Council of CBSE Schools has urged Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 even if CBSE has to delay the exams because of the pandemic.

This request against the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was made keeping in mind the fact that the pass certificate for Class 12 Board Exam 2021 is considered to be a key document for entry into any institutions for higher studies as per a report by The Hindu. Indira Rajan, Secretary-general of the council while speaking to The Hindu noted, "We feel that the exam has to be conducted even if it's delayed, probably even by using alternative examination patterns." She further added that a decision to conduct the exams will also resolve the anxiety among the students and the parents as many of them are eagerly waiting to get entry into good professional institutions.

Notably, according to a DNA report, Tony Joseph, a teacher from Kerala has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court against the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. In his petition, he cited that the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be unfair for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students. The petition said, "Class 12 exam is an integral part of the life of a student and important for admission to higher educational institutions…."

It was expected that a decision on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 might be announced after Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank-chaired meeting with School Education Secretaries of all the states and union territories on May 17, 2021. However, no announcement on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was made.

Last month, the CBSE cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and recently announced the assessment criteria for the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021. However, while postponing the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the CBSE noted that a decision on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021.
