CBSE exam 2021 latest changes: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the final date sheets for 2021 anytime soon. Though the national level board which governs the government and private schools in India have has released the CBSE Sample Papers 2021, introducing the new exam pattern as well as new marking scheme for students for upcoming board exams.

Meanwhile, the board has released the tentative dates for the class XII practical examinations. As per the notification, the practical examinations will be held between 1 January 8 February.

The central board has also reportedly changed the question paper pattern for class XII board examinations. Under the new pattern, the question papers will have more multiple-choice questions (MCQs) along with questions which will be based on case studies.

It has been observed by several schools, that under the new pattern for Classes X and XII, the weightage for MCQs has been increased by 10 per cent. This has been done to test the understanding ability of the students, reports suggested.

The class XII English sample paper has about 50 per cent of questions as multiple-choice questions. To know about the new question paper pattern, the students are advised to go through the sample papers released by the board. The sample papers can also be found on the official website of CBSE.

The breakup of the question patterns in the paper could be assessed by looking at the question papers.

The schools are expected to conduct pre-board examinations and revision tests, based on the latest sample paper released by the board to familiarise them with the change. According to the board, in subjects holding 70 and 80 marks, students need to secure a minimum 23 and 26 marks respectively to clear the paper.

The practical examination which will carry 30 marks has the passing marks at 9. There will also be an internal assessment of 20 marks for class X and XII, for which the students need to secure minimum 6 marks to clear it.
