Coronavirus: No shortage of medicines, masks in Indian hospitals, says FM

Amid coronavirus outbreak, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed that there is no such report of shortage of medicines, masks in hospitals in India. "In fact there was demand from those who manufacture medical devices to remove ban on exports," FM further said. She made this statement in a press conference, on being asked, 'Is there any report of shortage of medicines, masks in hospitals in India'. FM also said that there is no worry in price rise from anybody yet, but there is concern about distortion in supply of materials. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with industries and other bodies on contextual challenges and opportunities in supply chain of export and imports on February 18 in New Delhi.
