SBI customers' alert: Bank's YONO, INB, YONO Lite, UPI services will be affected today—here is why

There is an important alert for SBI customers. State Bank of India (SBI) digital services will remain affected on May 7, said the bank. SBI customer won't be able to execute any digital transaction or related services during certain hours today. SBI digital services will be impacted for over 3 hours as the State Bank of India will be running maintenace activities. These services will remain affected from 22:15 hrs on May 7, 2021, and 1:45 hrs on May 8.

India's largest lender, who has the largest network with over 22,000 branches and more than 57,889 ATMs across the country, took to Twitter and said, "We will undertake maintenance activities between 22:15 hrs on May 7, 2021, and 1:45 hrs on May 8, 2021. During this period INB/YONO/ YONO Lite/ UPI services will be unavailable. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to bear with us.”
The State Bank of India conducts maintenance activities regularly and informs its customers in advance so that they can plan their financial activities in advance. Last month, the bank’s digital banking platforms, including Yono, Yono lite, internet banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) were affected too due to maintenance and customers were informed beforehand. The State Bank of India has around 35 million registered Yono users. It also has 85 million internet banking and 19 million mobile banking users as on December 31, 2020.

Recently, it also tweeted about SBI contactless services that can be availed from comfort of your home without visiting SBI branches. It also warned aginst QR Code and FD frauds.
