Google ditches dessert naming for Android, next version to be called Android 10
The search engine giant Google broke a 10-year-long history of naming Android releases after desserts (sweet dish eaten post-meal) on Thursday and announced that the latest version of the operating system will be called Android 10. This came as smartphone lovers continued to guess the deserts starting with 'Q' after which Google could name the next version of the highly-popular OS.
The naming tradition has become a fun part of the release each year externally too, like Android Lollipop or Marshmallows. Source - Google blog.
