Maruti Suzuki India sells record 25 lakh Dzire sedans
Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker, said its Dzire model achieved the 25 lakh milestone in terms of sales, outshining all sedans in the country.
Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker, said its Dzire model crossed the 25 lakh milestone in sales, becoming the country's highest-selling car in the sedan segment. The auto major said that with more than "50 per cent market share and undisputed market domination", the Dzire outshone all sedans in the country.
Maruti Suzuki India's Dzire had crossed the 20 lakh and 10 lakh milestones in the financial years 2019-20 and 2015-16, respectively, according to the company.

The Dzire had crossed the 20 lakh milestone in the year ended March 2020.
The carmaker also claimed that no sedan by its competition has reached the one million sales milestone so far. With this record milestone, the Dzire continues to fortify its leadership position with a segment-leading market share, Maruti Suzuki said, citing data from industry body SIAM.
"The Dzire has established itself as a symbol of indulgence. Loved for its stylish exterior design featuring a strikingly new bold front facia and precision-cut two-tone alloy wheels, the Dzire appeals to customers with an evolving taste," the company said.
Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki India said it sold 72,451 vehicles in the compact segment, marking an increase of 1.2 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago. Besides the Dzire, Maruti Suzuki's compact segment comprises the company's Baleno, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and WagonR models.
Its total sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market grew 16.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 1,56,114 units last month, according to the company.
The company registered its highest ever monthly total sales across segments, comprising the domestic as well as export numbers, at 1,89,082 units, as against 1,65,173 units a year ago.
