Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the EQE SUV in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.39 crore. This launch marks the third electric vehicle (EV) offering by the renowned automaker in India, following the EQB SUV and EQS sedan.
The EQE 500 4Matic SUV is built on Mercedes-Benz's innovative EVA platform and complements the EQE sedan model available in global markets.
At the heart of this elegant EV SUV lies a robust 90.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack, delivering an impressive 300kW (402bhp) of power and a formidable torque output of 858Nm.

The vehicle boasts a top speed of 210kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.9 seconds, showcasing its dynamic performance.
The EQE 500 4Matic SUV also offers an exceptional range of 550km on a single charge, making it ideal for long journeys.
It comes equipped with an 11 kW AC wallbox charger, capable of fully charging the SUV in under 10 hours.
For even quicker charging, the vehicle can be fast-charged with up to a 170kW charger, reaching an 80% charge in just over half an hour.
Mercedes-Benz stands firmly behind the EQE SUV's battery with a robust 10-year warranty or up to 2.50 lakh km. Routine maintenance intervals are set at 2 years or 30,000 km.Measuring 4,863 mm in length, the EQE SUV positions itself between the GLC and GLE models.
It utilizes Mercedes-Benz's Electric Vehicle Architecture 2 (EVA2), sharing much of its design and styling cues with the sedan variant, though the latter is not currently available in India.
The EQE boasts digital LED headlights seamlessly connected to an LED light strip, with a distinctive black panel in place of the grille adorned by a discreet three-pointed star.
The SUV is graced with 20-inch aero-customizable alloy wheels and features captivating full-width LED tail-lights.Inside the cabin, the EQE impresses with its futuristic 'Hyperscreen' dash setup.
This innovative configuration includes three displays, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch front passenger entertainment screen.
All three screens are elegantly integrated under a sleek glass panel.
The EQE offers a unique feature ensuring passenger entertainment without distracting the driver.
Car cameras monitor the driver's attention, reducing the brightness of the passenger screen if the driver's focus diverts for more than 3 seconds.
The spacious cabin accommodates five occupants and offers a generous 522-litre boot capacity.
Additional luxury features include 4-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium 15-speaker, 710-watt Burmester 3D sound system.
