Mercedes EQS 580: Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch its new luxury electric vehicle Mercedes EQS 580 in the country today, September 30. The event will start around 2:00 PM and will be streamed live.

"Join in to experience the true power of electric. Take your journey to the next level with the world’s most innovative electric car design. #ThisIsForYouIndia #EQSistheFuture #LimitlessEQS #EQS," the Mercedes-Benz India tweeted.

The bookings for the luxury EV are already open. Customers can book the car at a token amount of Rs 25 lakh.

According to the company, the event will be live-streamed online on the official YouTube channel of Mercedes-Benz India. It can also be watched on the official social media handles of the company.

Ahead of the launch, the company has released several teasers of the upcoming Mercedes EQS 580 4MATIC+. "Travel into the future amid electric luxury in the new EQS with a never seen before full-width MBUX Hyperscreen that’s sure to leave an electrifying mark!" the company tweeted.

With a unique high voltage battery and an innovative charging system, the new EQS can be recharged in no time at all at 200kW power sources. The charging time corresponds to a 10-80% full charge using a DC fast charging station with a supply voltage of 400 V, minimum current of 500 A.

The car has the new MBUX Hyperscreen which is the most advanced display the company has ever developed.
