Ola Electric scooters SALE DELAYED! FACES technical difficulties in taking S1 sale live; Check NEW date, time and letter from the CEO

Ola electric scooters sale was supposed to go online on 8th September at 6 pm. However, this got intruded on because of some technical glitches. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared this information via a letter on Twitter.
He wrote: “We had committed to start purchases today for our Ola S1 scooter. But unfortunately, we have had many technical difficulties in making our website for purchases live today. I want to apologise to all of you, who had to wait for several hours. The website was just not up to our expectations on quality. I know we disappointed you and l sincerely apologise to each of you for what was clearly a very frustrating experience.”
He has shared that the live sale will take place on 15th September at 8 am.

“We've built a completely digital purchase journey, including a fully digital loan process without any paperwork We wanted to provide this first of its kind digital purchase journey and today we haven't been able to. Getting you the right experience will take us another week. I want to let you know that we will now be starting our purchase on 15th September, 8 am,” he has mentioned in the letter.

At the beginning of this week, the e-scooter maker tied up with Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, IndusInd Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Prime, TATA Capital and YES Bank for providing easy loans to customers for its S1 electric scooter.

Similarly, Ola Electric tweeted on 7th September that the delivery will be made on first serve, first reserved basis! The company is also providing an EMI plan starting at Rs 2,999.
The Ola electric scooter launched in two variants – Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro on 15th August. The company will start delivering across 1,000 cities and towns in October this year.
The Ola electric price starts at Rs 99,999, and the S1 Pro starts at Rs 1,29,999. In states with active subsidy grants, the Ola S1 will be much more affordable than many petrol scooters. After state subsidy in Delhi, the S1 would cost just Rs 85,099, whereas in Gujarat it would be only Rs 79,999.
