Price drop alert! Ather 450, Ather 340 get even cheaper in Bangalore, Chennai - Check new rates, GST, on-road details
This is a price drop alert for electric scooter manufacturer Ather's products. Ather scooters are now available at lower price points post GST rate reduction. Ather in an announcement confirmed that the reduced GST rate on electric vehicles from 12% to 5% is applicable across all FAME II certified EVs including Ather scooters – Ather 340 and Ather 450.
At present, Ather scooters are available in Bengaluru and Chennai.

Moreover, Ather plans to begin operations in other major cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Pune and 30 other cities by 2023.
Recently, after the launch of Ather 450 and 340 in Chennai, Ather Energy, officially inaugurated, ‘Ather Space’, the Ather experience center at Wallace Garden Road, Nungambakkam on 24th July. The inauguration was led by a group of enthusiastic Ather customers, who wanted to be the first ones to experience Ather Space.
"Ather began accepting pre-orders for Ather 450 in Chennai on 9th July and since then have received a phenomenal response from customers and are sold out till the end of the year," the electric scooter manufacturer said.
Earlier, the on-road price of the Ather 450 was Rs 1,31,683 and Ather 340 was priced at Rs 1,19,091 in Chennai. The price included the regulation 2 helmets, along with the FAME 2 subsidy and other basics like insurance, road tax, GST, and other fees.
