Auto Expo 2023 Ends Today; In pics 6 vehicles that graced the 16th edition

Auto Expo 2023: The show opened with the global premiere of Suzuki Motor Corporation's concept electric SUV 'eVX' which is slated to hit the market by 2025. Here are some of the vehicles that graced the Auto Expo 2023.

Auto Expo 2023: India's flagship motor show Auto Expo 2023 held in Greater Noida has concluded today, January 18. The 16th edition of the Auto Expo was held between January 11 to January 18 and witnessed a record number of visitors of over 6.36 lakh. Originally, the biennial event was scheduled to be held in 2022 but due to COVID-19, the event was postponed.

It is Asia's largest automotive jointly organised by the Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

The show opened with the global premiere of Suzuki Motor Corporation's concept electric SUV 'eVX' which is slated to hit the market by 2025. The event witnessed the launching and unveiling of 75 products.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Suzuki unveiled the globally acclaimed compact SUV Jimny in a five-door version for the first time at the Auto Expo 2023. Actually, the company unveiled two SUVs -- Fronx and offroader Jimny -- on the second day. The booking for these two SUVs has been started on the day of unveiling.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai Motor India launched its all-electric model Ioniq 5 at an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 500 customers. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan launched the EV at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. It is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) feature that allows the user to power electrical appliances up to 3.6 kW from inside and outside the vehicle.

Kia EV9

Kia EV9

The carmaker Kia India had unveiled its All-Electric SUV Concept – the Kia Concept EV9, at the 16th edition of the Auto Expo. The company also showcased the Kia KA4 and further announced an investment of Rs 2,000 crores in India for EV-related R&D, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

Tata Sierra

Tata Sierra

Homegrown auto major Tata Motors showcased over 20 products across its passenger and commercial vehicles portfolio. However, the highlight of the company's showcase is the electric SUV Sierra. The vehicle is likely to hit the market in 2025.

Also, the EV version of the mid-sized SUV Harrier is likely to be commercially launched next year.

BYD Seal

BYD Seal

The Chinese electric carmaker BYD unveiled its luxury sedan 'BYD Seal' at the event on January 11. The vehicle is BYD India`s third model for the passenger electric vehicle (EV) segment in India. The other two are - the all-new E-6 electric MPV and the BYD ATTO 3 e-SUV. Also, the company said that the BYD Seal will be launched in the last quarter of 2023.
