Between May and June, several automakers launched their cars in the lower segment, mid-premium segment, and premium segment cars with electric sunroofs feature. Hyundai Venue Facelift

Hyundai Venue Facelift

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) launched its New Hyundai Venue 2022 as a facelift model in India on June 16, 2022. It is the new version of its compact hatchback Venue and has a smart electric sunroof. The car comes with three powertrain options and bolsters its presence in the robustly growing sub-4-meter SUV segment. The introductory prices of the new Hyundai Venue start from Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 1.2-liter petrol trim prices start from Rs 7.53 lakh, while the prices of 1-liter turbo petrol begin from Rs 9.99 lakh. The Venue diesel range also begins from Rs 9.99 lakh.

Kia India launched its fully electric vehicle EV6 in the country on June 2, 2022. With the launch of EV6, the company forayed into the electric vehicle segment in India. The firm will sell the EV6 through 15 dealerships across 12 cities. The dealerships would be equipped with 150 kW fast chargers. The starting price of the Kia EV6 is Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The model has a wide electric sunroof and would be available in two trims -- priced at Rs 59.95 lakh and Rs 64.95 lakh. respectively.

BMW i4

Premium and luxury carmaker BMW launched its electric car BMW i4 Electric in India on May 26,2022. It is the first-ever fully-electric BMW car that delivers outstanding dynamics with a high level of comfort. The car has a glass sunroof with slide and lift function, including an electric sliding interior roof, anti-trap protection, as well as comfort opening and closing. The company has introduced the BMW i4 at an ex-showroom price of Rs 69.90 lakh. The i4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 5.7 seconds with an output of 340 hp, the company said. It has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 80.7 kilowatt-hours.

Tata Motors' Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a specialized EV division, launched the Nexon EV MAX on May 11, 2022, in India. The electric vehicle from the homegrown automaker has a range of 437 km with a larger battery pack. The Tata Nexon EV MAX long-range starts at Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, which is over and above the top-spec variant of the Tata Nexon EV. Tata Nexon EV MAX offers an electric sunroof that makes journeys more scenic, the company said.

The Japanese carmaker, Honda launched its much-awaited car City e:HEV in India on May 5, 2022, marking its debut in the strong hybrid electric vehicle segment in the country. The model also comes with power Windows & Sunroof. The price of the new Honda City e:HEV is Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). City e:HEV offers three driving modes - EV drive, hybrid drive, and engine drive, along with regeneration mode during deceleration.
