Tata Harrier launch: The much-awaited SUV from Tata Motors, the thrilling Harrier has been launched today. Bookings for Tata Harrier started in October last year with booking amount of Rs 30,000. The one of its kind offering from Tata Motors, Harrier SUV will be competing against Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur among others.
Tata Harrier: Price
Tata Harrier prices starts Rs 12.69 lakhs for base variant and Rs 16.25 lakh for top model. The automaker has said that the cost will include registration charges and insurance fee. The base model Tata Harrier XE will cost Rs 12.69 lakh, Tata Harrier XM to cost Rs 13.75 lakh, Tata Harrier XT will cost Rs 14.95 lakh and Tata Harrier XZ will cost Rs 16.25 lakh.

Tata Harrier: 2.0L KRYOTEC cutting-edge diesel engine
Tata Harrier is powered by the 2.0L KRYOTEC cutting-edge diesel engine. The automaker has said that Harrier will be the first Tata product to sport the Impact 2.0 Design language. "It will offer extraordinary exteriors, intelligently designed luxurious interiors, future-ready connectivity and infotainment, claimed the automaker," it had said. It will have 140 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque clubbed with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Tata Harrier: Tested for 2.2 million km
Tata Motors said that the monocoque SUV has been extensively tested for a cumulative distance of 2.2 million km, showcasing its mettle to wade through the toughest of terrains.

R17 alloy wheels, 5. Oak brown interior colour scheme, 6. 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system and 7. Terrain response mode.

Tata Harrier's driver assistant has three Terrain Response Modes - Normal, Rough, and Wet.
Tata Motors said that to assure robustness of the SUV, it has been adapted for Indian conditions, all weather conditions (-10 degrees to 50 degrees) Celsius and has been through over 300 real life crash scenarios.
Guenter Butschek, CEO of Tata Motors, said that the automaker will be launching more products in the coming months.
