Upcoming SUVs in 2019: Last year was a good one for car lovers as a number of new vehicles made their entry into the Indian market, while the existing ones got better variants. For car enthusiasts, 2019 is going to be a good year as well as they will have many available options before them to choose from. Over the last couple of years, SUVs have become the most popular choice among Indians and are expected to dominate again with Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Kicks, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift set to make debuts.
Tata Harrier:
Tata Harrier: The car is expected to be launched in January 23, 2019, at a price range of Rs 13 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. It is comparable to compact and mid-size SUVs. The Harrier is built on the new OMEGA architecture, jointly developed by Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover.
Nissan Kicks:
Nissan Kicks: The car is expected to be launched in January 2019 at a price range of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. The car is more spacious than the Kicks sold in other countries. It has features like 360-degree camera to aid parking, around view monitor and NissanConnect that has smartwatch connectivity and 50+ features.
Mahindra XUV300:
Mahindra XUV300: The car is expected to be launched in February 2019 at a price range of Rs 8 lakh and Rs 12 lakh. The car competes with Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport in sub-4 metre compact SUV segment. The car is fuel-friendly even as it is expected to provide good level of performance. It may give 17 kmpl mileage while the diesel could give 19 kmpl on the manual version. It has seven airbags and dual-zone climate control fitted in the car.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift:
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift: The car is expected to be launched in mid 2019 at a price range of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10.5 lakh. Maruti Suzuki is expected to give a makeover to the car, adding new exterior and ineterior features. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift will compete with Hyundai QXi and Mahindra XUV300.
Mahindra TUV300 facelift:
Mahindra TUV300 facelift: The SUV is expected to be launched in mid-2019 at a price range of Rs 8 lakh and Rs 11 lakh. The SUV is expected to come with some considerable cosmetic updates and new features. It may even have some mechanical updates like a BS-VI compliant engine.
