Q3 Results LIVE Update: UltraTech Cement quarterly net profit at Rs 1,777 crore vs Rs 1,058 crore a year ago
The cement manufacturer reports a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,777 crore for the quarter ended December 2023, as against a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,058.2 crore for the three-months to December 2022. Its revenue for the fiscal third quarter of 2023-24 stands at Rs 16,740 crore as against Rs 15,520.9 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
According to Zee Business research, UltraTech's quarterly net profit was estimated at Rs 1,840.2 crore and revenue at Rs 16,748.7 crore.
The cement company's domestic sales volume increased five per cent on a year-on-year basis to 26.06 million tonnes, according to an investor presentation.
In the grey cement segment, its domestic volume increased five per cent to 25.44 million tonnes, leading to improvement of 2.1 per cent in segment realisation compared with the year-ago period, according to the company.

Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) reports a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,028 crore for the October-December period, as against Rs 2,156 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
The company's quarterly revenue stands at Rs 7,067 crore as against Rs 7,628 crore for the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.
The stock of HZL, a subsidiary of Vedanta Ltd, builds on its intraday gains moments after the release of the earnings report, rising by as much as Rs 11.9, or 3.8 per cent, to Rs 323.7 apiece on BSE.

Chemical manufacturer Atul Ltd reports a consoldiated net profit of Rs 70.9 crore for the quarter ended December, as against a consolidated net profit of Rs 105.1 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Its quarterly revenue from operations stands at Rs 1,137.8 crore as against Rs 1,268.3 crore for the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.
Atul Ltd shares are left with an intraday gain of 0.4 per cent at Rs 6,637.4 apiece on BSE, having risen as much as 1.9 per cent to Rs 6,735.8 apiece earlier in the day.
