Reliance Jio rolls out Dhan Dhana Dhan; offers unlimited data for three months

After Reliance Jio discontinued its Jio Summer Surprise it has now rolled out 'Dhan Dhana Dhan,' the company's latest offer that offers data up to 168GB for Rs 509.

After pulling back its Summer Surprise offer, Reliance Jio on Tuesday launched its Jio ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer for Rs 309 and 509.

Jio Prime subscribers availing the Rs 309 plan will get 84GB for a period of 84 days instead of the earlier price of Rs 349 plan, the company’s website said.

And the Rs 509 plan will offer Prime customers 168GB for 84 days instead of the earlier price of Rs 549 offering 56GB for 28 days.

The company said that the offer will be available for Prime customers’ first recharge only.

This offer will not be available for those who have already subscribed to the Jio Summer Surprise.

Jio pulled back its Summer Surprise offer after Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) advised the company to do so.

Reliance Jio unveiled its ‘Summer Surprise’ offer on March 31 and announced that Jio Prime membership has been extended till April 15.

Jio had said, “Every Jio Prime member, when they make their first paid recharge prior to 15th April using Jio’s Rs 303 plan (or any higher value plan), will get services for the initial 3 months on a complimentary basis. The paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service."

As of April 9 midnight the company was rumoured to have discontinued the plan completely.

Jio said that while it accepted the terms of TRAI it would allow those who have already subscribed to the Summer Surprise plan to continue with its benefits till June.
