Wellness Forever targets to open 450 retail stores by FY21

In a bid to expand its service to the customers, India’s leading organized retail Pharmacy and Lifestyle Chain, Wellness Forever Medicare Pvt. Ltd, is set to further strengthen its presence in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. The move will provide a major boost to its strong presence of 140+ stores which are open 24x7. The Company is now the largest retail pharmacy chain in Western India.

According to a report by ‘The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD)’, the Indian pharmacy market, which has over 850,000 independent retail pharmacy stores, is estimated to be Rs 1.2 lakh crore in size. Also, drugs worth Rs 10,215 crore were sold in India in the month of June 2018, and it is poised to cross US $55 billion by 2020.

Wellness Forever recently opened its 146thstore in Viman Nagar 3, Pune, its 24th new store of the current financial year. The company says that they have big plans to create an Omnichannel model.

On the strategic expansion plans, Gulshan Bakhtiani (One of the three Founder Directors) said, “Our primary objective has always been to create a pharmacy plus lifestyle chain of stores which will cater to the needs of customers beyond medicines.
