LPG rates with effect from October 1: This is how much you pay for commercial & domestic LPG cylinders now
LPG gas cylinder price with effect from October 1: State-run oil marketing companies such as Indian Oil Corp (IOC) raised the retail prices of commercial LPG (sold in 19 kg cylinders) with effect from October 1, 2023. However, the prices of domestic LPG (14.2 kg cylinders) were left unchanged at existing levels.

LPG gas refill price with effect from October 1, 2023: State-run oil marketing companies such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) revised the retail prices of commercial LPG—sold in 19-kilogram cylinders—by Rs 202-209 in the four metros with effect from October 1, 2023, while keeping the rates applicable to domestic LPG—sold in 14.2-kg cylinders—unchanged.
A review of the prices listed on the Indian Oil Corporation portal (iocl.com) showed that commercial LPG refills was made dearer by Rs 209 per cylinder (19 kg) in New Delhi and by Rs 202 in Mumbai.

What does the revision in commercial LPG rates mean for the consumer?
The latest increase in the prices reverses a reduction brought about a month ago when the 19-kilogram refill was made cheaper by Rs 157.5 per unit in New Delhi. The commercial LPG rates are applicable to businesses and not households. Currently, LPG for commercial and domestic use is sold in 19 kg and 14.2 kg cylinders respectively.
Latest LPG rates in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai
After the latest revision, commercial LPG refills will be available at Rs 1,731.5 per cylinder in New Delhi, Rs 1,839.5 per cylinder in Kolkata, Rs 1,684 per cylinder in Mumbai and Rs 1,898 per cylinder in Chennai, according to the IOC website.
Domestic LPG cylinders will continue to be available at Rs 903 per unit in New Delhi, Rs 929 per unit in Kolkata, Rs 902.5 per unit in Mumbai and Rs 918.5 per unit in Chennai.
In late August, in a big relief to the consumer, the government slashed the price of domestic LPG by Rs 200 per 14.2-kg cylinder in New Delhi, translating to an overall reduction of Rs 400 per cylinder for beneficiaries of the Centre's Ujjwala subsidy scheme.
