NEET 2021 – Students await for official notification on examination; this is what they are saying on social media

The date for NEET 2021 or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is not yet announced but the students and their parents are anxiously waiting for the dates to get announced. Students who want to appear in the exam are even asking questions from the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on his official twitter handle. The Minister is expected to announce NEET UG date.

Registration for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2020) undergraduate started in December 2019, and the examination was scheduled for 3 May 2020 but had to be postponed because of the Coronavirus Pandemic. The exam was postponed later and held finally in September, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ongoing pandemic could be the reason for the delay this year as well.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) – the institutions which conducts the NEET examination is yet to speak on it. The medical aspirants on social media want to know when the exam will be held so that they can prepare accordingly.

It should be noted that while the NEET 2021 notification is awaited, NTA has successfully conducted the first session of the engineering entrance exam, Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) and announced the results.

Like JEE Main, students have asked for multiple sessions in NEET 2021. Some reports suggest that the medical examination could be held as a computer-based test like the engineering exam. However, the Education Ministry or the NTA is yet to confirm it.
