Stock exchange, BSE, on Tuesday announced that its platform for bond issuances has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore mark of fund raising through debt securities by corporates.
IRFC and NTPC successfully raised Rs 2000 crore and Rs 700 crore respectively by issuing bonds on private placement basis using BSE BOND platform, BSE said in a release.
As per the release, till now in FY17, 45 issuers have done 200 issues of bonds and have raised Rs 1,00,308 crore using BSE debt platform.

On July 1, 2016, BSE had launched the platform for Electronic Book Mechanism “BSE BOND” for issuance of debt securities on private placement basis.
Market participants has found the system robust and transparent, BSE added.
