Coronavirus cases in Karnataka: Check latest update, extension news on Covid-19 guidelines
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that the government has extended the Covid guidelines till August 16.
Karnataka logged 1,285 Covid-19 cases on Monday taking the tally to 29.08 lakh, while the toll crossed the 20,000 mark with 25 more deaths.
As per a report by PTI, the state had reported 1,875 cases on Sunday. The twenty five deaths took the toll to 20,021, a health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 24,021, while 1,383 patients recovered, taking the total recoveries to 28,47,627.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday informed that the government has extended the Covid guidelines till 16 August.
"The guidelines imposed till August 2 will be extended for the next 15 days. 72 percent of school teachers have been vaccinated. In the next 15 days, we will cover 100 per cent," the minister was quoted saying by ANI.
"We allowed people who had received one dose of the vaccine. From tomorrow, it'll be necessary to have both doses. Random testing should be increased in border areas. We have discussed micro containment, tracing, testing," he added.
Reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in several districts of the state, Bommai also stated that resort - homestay bookings have to be done only after the mandatory procurement of negative RT-PCR reports not older than 72 hours.

As per a report by ANI, all these decisions were taken after Bommai reviewed the Covid status of 8 districts on Saturday.
