During the visit, a team comprising of senior officials of the Delhi Government's Health Department, Dr. Sanjay Agarwal and Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, learned about the various levels of action taken by the BMC. In order to get the information, the delegates visited the Municipal Jumbo Covid Hospital in Goregaon and the Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri and got acquainted with the management of the hospital.
At the end of this visit the Delhi Government team said that the work done by BMC is exemplary and the 'Mumbai model' will be implemented in Delhi soon.
Following things were well explained to the Delhi team
.
The functioning of the 'Ward War Room' was explained.
Representatives of the Delhi State Government visited the Ward War Room of the two wards, D and K/East, to understand the management of Covid-19 patients and bed allotment by the BMC. Medical test reports of the People, who have been infected by Covid-19, initially sent to Waed War Room. Patients are then telephoned and given basic counseling. After that, as per the requirement, the team of the Municipal Corporation goes to the house of the person and conducts the necessary medical examination. In the meanwhile, if the patient needs to be admitted to the hospital as per the medical treatment order, the patient is admitted to a private or public hospital as per his need. Seeing that all these processes are being done very sensitively and in time, the Delhi State Government team was overwhelmed by the decentralized order established by the Municipal Corporation through the 'Ward War Room'.

Oxygen management
At the 1,800-bed Seven Hills Hospital under the jurisdiction of the BMC, 18 metric tons of oxygen is sufficient. However, an 1,800-bed Delhi government-run hospital with the same number of beds needs 32 metric Tonnes of oxygen per day. Representatives of the Delhi State Government also inquired about how the BMC has established an effective system for proper use of oxygen.
While administering oxygen in the municipal hospitals, oxygen is supplied to the hospitalized patients as per the medical treatment order and as per the requirement. Strict planning and management of this oxygen supply has been achieved in the municipal hospitals. Some nurses at the hospital level have been trained in oxygen management. At the same time, oxygen supply technicians are constantly working in all the hospitals, and they are constantly monitoring the oxygen supply and taking appropriate action.
