The COVID-19 vaccination drive is going on in the country. In order to get the COVID-19 vaccine shots, one must register oneself through the CoWIN portal. Now, after getting the first jab, one is provided with the provisional COVID-19 vaccination certificate while after both the shots of COVID-19 vaccines are given, one must download the COVID-19 certificate from the CoWIN portal.
Recently, there has been a tweet from the official Twitter handle of Aarogya Setu app that said that the users will be able to make corrections for their name, year of birth and gender. The tweet said, "Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your Cowin vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in. Go to http://cowin.gov.in and Raise an Issue."

To make the corrections, one must follow some simple steps. They are as follows:
Step 1: One has to login to the selfregistration.cowin.gov.in. Now, one must enter the registered mobile number in the space provided, following which one must enter the OTP received.
Step 2: Now the dashboard is displayed in front of the user and one user will be able to see 'Raise and issue' option at the top right corner which must be clicked.
Step 3: Now the user will get the option 'Correction in vaccine certificate'. Here, one must select the member whose vaccination certificate has to be corrected. After that, one must click on the option 'Correction in certificate'
Step 4: One will be able to select correction in two fields out of the three mentioned. One must choose the field/s and add the correct details to be reflected on the vaccination certificate. After the details are entered, one has to click on 'Continue'.
Step 5: Finally, one will get a verification tab reflecting the corrections made. If one is satisfied with the changes, one can click on 'Submit'.
It must be noted that these corrections will be allowed only once.
