Delhi AQI: Air quality in national capital continues to remain in ‘poor’ category, 260 on Dhanteras 2022

Delhi AQI: The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital continued to remain in the "poor" category on Dhanteras 2022. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on Saturday said that Delhi recorded an AQI of 260 at 9:00 AM.

However, the minimum temperature of the city was 17.4 degrees Celsius on October 22, a notch below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"Delhi | A blanket of smog engulfs the national capital with the overall AQI (Air Quality Index) under the 'poor' category," a news agency ANI tweeted.

It should be noted that an AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 "satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", and 401 and 500 "severe".

With the 24-hour average AQI recorded at 262, the AQI in Delhi worsened on Friday.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius whereas minimum temperature was at 17.3 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the index value was recorded at 228.
