Delhi weather today, temperature: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Delhi from Monday for six days, owing to the upcoming severe cold wave in the national capital region.

“Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions very likely over many/some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi till 18th and thereafter in isolated pockets of east Rajasthan on 19th, Cold wave condition in isolated pockets also very likely over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during 17th-19th; over Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch on 17th and 18th January,” the IMD said in its release

There may be a cold wave from January 17 to January 19 in various regions of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The IMD forecasted “dense to very dense fog” in isolated pockets over west Bengal and Sikkim till January 18.

Delhi temperature today
Safdarjung in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 4.6°C, and Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 6.0°C till 5.30 am. The minimum temperature in the capital is likely to rise to 9 degrees Celsius on Thursday amid cloudy weather and light rain.
Rajasthan temperature
Temperature dips to - 6 degrees C in Mount Abu, and normal lives are affected due to the biting cold. While Churu and Sikar recorded -2.5°C and -2°C, respectively. Alwar meanwhile recorded 0°C. while Delhi recorded a 1.4°C minimum temperature on Monday. Hisar (Haryana) recorded a minimum temperature of 0.8°C, while 1.5°C was recorded in Amritsar (Punjab).
