People must also take a note of the fact that the registration process for third phase vaccination which is starting from May 1, 2021, has begun from yesterday. Everyone above 18 years of age must register themselves at the CoWin portal at cowin.gov.in. People can also register through the Aarogya Setu app.
Following a full list of the states that have announced free vaccinations:
Delhi - Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the Delhi government has decided to vaccinate everyone above 18 years of age free of cost. He further added that the approval has been given for the purchase of 1.34 crore doses.
Maharashtra - Maharashtra state minister Nawab Malik on Sunday said that the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of the state Ajit Pawar has stated that the state government will vaccinate the entire population of Maharashtra above 18 years of age free of cost.
Kerala - The Kerala government will also provide free COVID-19 vaccines to all above 18 years of age. This was announced by the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan last week.
West Bengal - The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also announced last week that free COVID-19 vaccinations will be provided to all the citizens above 18 years of age in the state after May 5, 2021.
Odisha - Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced free COVID-19 vaccines for all citizens of the state between the age group 18 and 44.
Bihar - Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the Bihar government will provide free COVID-19 vaccines to all above 18 years of age.
Jharkhand - Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that all the citizens of Jharkhand above 18 years of age will be given free COVID-19 vaccines.
Uttar Pradesh - The Uttar Pradesh government will give COVID-19 vaccine free of cost to all those above 18 years of age from May 1.
Apart from the above-mentioned states, Goa, Punjab, Haryana , Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Telangana and various other states have also announced free COVID-19 vaccines for the citizens.

This positive news is certainly going to provide respite to the common people at a time when more than three lakh new COVID-19 cases are being recorded all over the country.
