Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), which works under the Ministry of Railways, promoting rail based tourism in the country is offering 4 nights/5 days journey which will include your tour of the abandoned Havelis of Mandawa, a tiny princely town on the ancient Silk Route from the Middle East to China. Often termed as open Air Art Galleries the Havelis talk of a regal past. The journey will continue to some of the famous cities in Rajasthan - Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

This 4 Nights/5 Days sojourn will begin on November 25, 2019 with a starting fare of about Rs 14,000 (USD 210) per person/night and for the whole trip it would cost you USD 840 per person in the AC second class. If you opt AC Ist class, the trip cost would be USD 960 per person.

On the day 1, you will assemble at Delhi Safdurjung Railway station at around 7:30 AM to depart for Mandawa at 8 AM. After onboard lunch, you will proceed to visit Mandawa Havelis, and in the evening relish tea at a city hotel, and then return to the train for Dinner and overnight journey to Jaisalmer.

On the day 2, after onboard breakfast, you will proceed to visit Jaisalmer Fort, Gadisagar Lake, Patwon Ki Haveli followed by lunch at a Hotel. Post lunch visit Sam Sand Dunes followed by dinner and culture evening on the dunes. Optional Alcoholic beverages and drinks on direct payment. You will then return back to the train and proceed to Jodhpur.

On the day 3, after onboard breakfast, deboard to visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada followed by lunch at a hotel/ restaurant. Post lunch, you will visit local market and Clock Tower, and then return to the train for onboard dinner and overnight journey to Jaipur.

On the day 4, after onboard breakfast, you will deboard to visit Amber Fort and City Palace, and have lunch at a City Hotel. Rooms shall be provided at the hotel for relaxation, and you may choose to visit the observatory on your own on direct payment. In the evening, you will proceed to Chokhi Dhani – an ethnic village resort for dinner, and then return to the train and proceed to Delhi.

On the day 5, breakfast shall be served onboard as the train arrives at Safdarjung Railway Station.
