Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in his address to the nation during the 78th edition of the monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ touched upon several issues. He bagan his address by paying tributes to Late Milkha Singh and also spoke about the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. He also spoke on vaccine hesitancy and rumours around it. Here is all that he said
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in his address to the nation during the 78th edition of the monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ touched upon several issues. While he bagan his address by paying tributes to Late Milkha Singh, he also spoke about the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. The address was broadcast live on the entire network of AIR and Doordarshan and also on AIR News website www.newsonair.com and newsonair Mobile App. Here are the highlights of his speech:

This edition of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme comes right after the beginning of India’s next phase of the largest vaccination drive in the world. In this vaccination drive, vaccines are being made available for free across the states and Union territories.
In his previous radio address during the 'Mann ki Baat' in May, Modi touched upon his government's seventh anniversary on and said the nation has followed the mantra of "sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas" in this period.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about how the country dealt with the pandemic relief measures by providing medical grade oxygen to different states during the second wave of COVID-19. He had said that it was a challenge but the Indian Air Force, the railways and scores of tanker drivers worked overtime to ensure that it was delivered to those in need on time.
Speaking of various natural disasters, the prime minister had said that more lives were saved compared to the past. He had also underlined that the Centre and the states are working together to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
He also praised the farmers saying that despite the pandemic, the farmers ensured record production of crop and the government also made record procurement.
