However, the prices have remained unchanged for the past nearly 8 months. The last major country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May 2022 when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel.

People in Chennai have to pay Rs 102.63 and Rs 94.24 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively.
In Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs. 106.03 and that of diesel is Rs. 92.76 a litre.
In Noida, the price for diesel is Rs 89.96 and Rs 96.79 for Petrol.
