Railway jobs 2018: Southern Railway Apprentices Recruitment 2018: For candidates interested to get an employment opportunity with the Indian Railways, there is a good news. Southern Railway has announced 2652 vacancies for Apprentices posts in various trades through a notification. The application forms are available online, but the process to fill up application form is Offline. Those who are interested to avail this opportunity can apply till April 11, 2018. Eligibility criteria

Age-Limit: Minimum age of a candidate must be 15 years and the maximum age should not be above 24 years.

Age Relaxations will be applicable as per the government norms. For OBC- 3 years, ST/SC- 5 years, and PWD/Ex-Servicemen- 10 years.

Educational Qualification:

For the posts of Carpenter, Painter, Welder (Gas and Electric), Wireman, candidates must have passed class VIII with science as one of the subjects or equivalent or should possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) by NCVT.

For the posts of Fitter, Machinist, Plumber, Electrician, Electronics, Mechanic, Diesel Maintenance, Mechanic, Advance Welder, Electronic/ Information Technology, Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil) Posts, candidates must have passed class X with Science as one of the subjects equivalent, and should possess National Trade Certificate in the Notified Trade by NCVT.

Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology and Pathology): Candidates must have passed 12th class with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent or should possess National Trade Certificate in a Notified Trade by NCVT.

Southern Railway Apprentices Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure

The candidates will be shortlisted after passing through Physical and Medical Fitness tests, along with the basis of marks obtained in class 10th and ITI.

Download the Application Form for Offline Process.
Fill in the required details in the Form.
Enclose the Application Form with the attested copies of your documents including certificate of date of birth, proof of qualification, caste certificate, disability certificate and registered copy of employment registration card.

The candidates need to pay the fees by enclosing crossed Indian Postal Order for Rs 100/- (drawn not earlier than the date of issue of this notification) with an application. The fees should be in the favour of-

WORKSHOP PERSONNEL OFFICER, CARRIAGE AND WAGON WORKS, SOUTHERN RAILWAY PERAMBUR CHENNAI- 641023; and it should be payable at Chennai.
