Republic Day 2023: Kartavya Path
This is the first Republic Day celebration held at Kartavya Path, a ceremonial boulevard, after the name change, formerly known as Rajpath, in New Delhi.
Republic Day 2023: Atmanirbhar Bharat
This year's Parade focused on 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', only the Made-in-India weapon systems have been showcased at the Republic Day parade. A few of the indigenously developed weapons include K-9 Vajra howitzers, BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, Akash air defense missiles, MBT Arjun, Nag anti-tank guided missiles and Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicles.

Republic Day 2023: Chief Guest
This year Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi is the chief guest of Republic Day celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent the formal invitation to al-Sisi which was handed over to the Egyptian president by Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar during an official visit to Egypt on October 16, 2022.

Republic Day 2023: Nari Shakti
The naval tableau’s central theme this year is Nari Shakti this year. Lt Commander Disha Amrith is to lead a 144-member naval contingent at the parade today.
Women soldiers guarding the desert border with Pakistan are also a part of the Border Security Force’s (BSF) camel contingent this year.

Republic Day 2023: Daredevils at R-Day Parade
The Indian Army women officers are to lead missile contingents and rode motorcycles as part of the famous Daredevils team at this year's parade. Lieutenant Chetana Sharma, among them, will be leading the 'Made in India' Akash surface-to-air missile system.
