UP Lockdown Latest News Today: As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to extend the lockdown in Noida till May 10, 2021. The lockdown was scheduled to be lifted from today, however, the rise in the number of coronavirus cases has compelled the authorities to extend the 'corona curfew' till May 10, 2021, until 7 AM. The people must login to rahat.up.nic.in in order to generate the e-pass.

The residents of Noida and Greater Noida can apply online for an e-pass for 'essential' outdoor movement during the lockdown, the Gautam Buddha Nagar administration had announced on Tuesday as per a report by india.com. As per the Uttar Pradesh government's official COVID-19 dashboard, there are 49256 confirmed cases Gautam Buddha Nagar district.
In order to collect the e-pass, one has to follow some simple steps. They are as follows:
Step 1: One has to login to rahat.up.nic.in
Step 2: Then one needs to go to the e-pass portal
Step 3: Now, one has to click on 'Apply e-pass' option
Step 4: Again, one needs to fill up the registration form
Step 5: After filling up the application form, the application will be reviewed by the administration, and those approved will get an SMS with the link to the online pass
It must be noted that the sub-divisional magistrate will issue the e-pass to the individual for movement within the state. In case, a person has to travel outside the district in that case, the Additional District Magistrate will issue an e-pass.
In other COVID-19 related news, the Noida Authority on Thursday informed that it is making a makeshift hospital consisting of 50 beds and oxygen support for the patients as per an ANI report. This facility is expected to be functional from May 8, 2021. The authority further informed that this makeshift hospital is being arranged in the Sector 21 stadium in the city.
Uttar Pradesh reported 31,165 fresh COVID-19 infections on Wednesday.
