Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a surprise visit to the new parliament building on Thursday evening and inspected various works as well as interacted with construction workers. According to sources, he spent more than an hour inside the building.

PM Modi also interacted with the construction workers.
The new Parliament building is part of the revamped Central Vista project.
It is expected that the new Parliament building could be inaugurated on May 1 i.e. Labor Day or May 26 - when the PM took the oath of office.
The government has given the construction contract to TATAs.
Earlier, there were reports that the Parliament building will be ready by the end of January.
