COVID-19 is connecting home buyers, developers digitally; how? - Check reasons, offers here
Gupta said: "We are getting good buoyancy and better responses. If compared with last year's August numbers, then we are already moving up by 40 per cent, including interest and sales."
The Corona has connected home buyers and developers digitally now. How is the inquiry on portals? And what is the conversion ratio? In conversation with Zee Business Senior Producer Deepak Yadav, Akhil Gupta, Co-founder, NOBROKER.com shares the current scenario.
Gupta said: "We are getting good buoyancy and better responses. If compared with last year's August numbers, then we are already moving up by 40 per cent. This includes the interest and sales."
He further added that the reason behind this is the cheaper home interest loans. Last year in August, people were hesitant due to the COVID-19. Out of the COVID fear, people were not spending and were saving more money. "But over the time after the first wave and the second wave, people have realised that this will continue and they need houses despite all this," Gupta added.

He also mentioned that now husband and wife are working from home, and kids are doing online classes. Family, who are staying in a 2-BHK apartment, feel the need to buy a new flat. Similarly, after working from home for the past 18-15 months, people have saved immensely.
People have realised the importance of home now. "If we talk about the new generation, then 2-5 years back, there was a calculator of renting versus buying, where buying a house was not preferred. Statistically, it was good that you should stay in a rented flat but now people are getting emotionally attached to the houses. They need a bigger space where they can work for 15-18 hours," Gupta added.

"We are witnessing 3-4 types of demands. A family that already has a 2-BHK flat but now realising the need for a bigger space. Millennials with 25-30 years of age are now buying flats. And also, with the attractive offers from the builders, the demand is also high. Developers like Prestige, Sobha are also offering attractive offers.
