Punjab Mail turns 107, people celebrate in Faridkot

Residents of Punjab’s Faridkot celebrated 107th birthday of Punjab Mail. They distributed sweets to passengers and Train staff. Residents also garlanded Train’s drivers and cut cake. Punjab Mail is one of the oldest long-distance trains in the country. The train made its first journey on June 1, 1912, from Mumbai, heading for Peshawar, now in Pakistan. It was known to be the fastest train of British India.
