Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the launch of India's much-awaited Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), a sort of official cryptocurrency, for retail users from Thursday (December 1). This will be the first pilot project for retail digital currency. It can be used for transactions. Earlier it was launched for wholesale transactions. Watch this video for more details.
