How have you seen Zee Business, your journey and the entire media landscape (especially business journalism) change in the last 4 years?
Singhvi said that the first thing we have tried to change in business media is that business journalism, stock market, and investing are not only for English speakers. And this step was first taken by Zee Business. Zee has opened the most popular business channel Zee Business. Later more people came and they all tried too. But our effort was to take business journalism to the common people. And that's why we tried to convert the business language into a common language that people can easily understand.
The second thing we try to do is that generally when people do business-coverage, they only cover the markets and some corporates and don't go beyond that. But Zee Business tried to cover news that related to people and their money like sting operations in the business world, extortion by Chinese companies, market mafia, etc.
And the third thing in this is the way business journalism is presented. Earlier it was presented in a more formal form but Zee Business broke the stereotype that business journalism can only be done in a serious and formal way. We tried to make it simple and a little informal.
