Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, Scooters India to Granules India - here are top Buzzing Stocks today
Domestic stocks markets erased the early morning gains and turned flat on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. At 12:54 noon, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 22.54 points, or 0.4% up at 49,539.35, while Nifty 50 index was trading at a gain of 20.40 points, or 0.14%, at 14,583.85.

Mahindra & Mahindra, IOC, BPCL and ONGC were the top gainers on Nifty 50 rising 6.62%, 4.75 3.95% and 3.38% respectively. Bharti Airtel + Vodafone Idea:
- Bharti Airtel (up 3.36%): The telecom major has received approvals for 100 per cent foreign direct investment in its downstream companies. The company has said that it is initiating the process to revise its foreign investment limit to 100 per cent with immediate effect.
- Vodafone Idea (up 3.31%): Morgan Stanley has increased its stake in the telecom company from 1.1% to 1.58% in the December quarter.
Scooters India (up 4.88%) + MSTC Ltd (up 1.71%): Union Cabinet is likely to take a decision to shut down Scooters India, sources close to the development informed Zee Business. According to the sources, MSTC, a government agency, is likely to be roped in for auction of the assets. Its land can be handed over to the Industrial Authority. Logo and brand will be sold separately.

Granules India (up 2.09%): Announces USFDA approval of Metformin Hydrochloride ER Tablets USP, 500 mg and 1000 mg.
Larsen & Turbo (up 0.21%): The construction arm of L&T has secured orders for construction of metallurgical plants and power transmission and distribution projects worth in the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore.
Road Development & Infrastructure Companies in Focus: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has asked for allocation of Rs 1.4 lakh crore in the Union Budget 2021-22, sources close to the development informed Zee Business. According to the sources, the ministry expects that it will get an allocation of Rs 92,000 crore and the funds will be used in the development of Bharatmala Pariyojan, NH(O) and Coastal roads. NHAI can raise up to Rs 65,000 crore in 2021.
