BSE Sensex hits 59,000 mark in intraday trade for first time; IndusInd Bank, ITC lead the rally
The celebrations in the stock markets refuse to die down as the BSE Sensex hit the 59,000-mark for the first time ever. The 30-share index scaled levels of 59,010.54 on the intraday basis on Thursday. At 12:37 pm, BSE Sensex was trading at 58,977.10, up by almost 254 points or 0.4 per cent after the markets today opened positively
The rally was led by IndusInd Bank, which was the biggest gainer around this time. The other top gainer was ITC, SBI, Reliance Industries and Power Grid. Source: PTI
