FIRST TRADE: Nifty hits record high, Sensex up over 200 pts; Bajaj Auto surges over 3%
Stock market today: Last seen, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 211.66 points, or 0.31 per cent, at 67,730.66, and the NSE Nifty was up 60.35 points, or 0.30 per cent, at 20,163.45.
Stock market today: The domestic equity indices opened with solid gains on Friday, September 15, tracking Asian peers, as stronger-than-expected macroeconomic data from China and easing US rate hike concerns aided sentiment. Nifty hit a record high during the opening session.

In the broader market, the Nifty Mid Cap 100 and Small Cap 100 opened in green.

Indian Hotel Company stock was up over 1 per cent after the company signed an agreement for a Taj Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany under an operating lease arrangement.

Titagarh Rail Systems stock was up over 3 per cent after HSBC maintained a 'buy' rating on the stock.
Strides Pharma Science was up over 9 per cent after the company received tentative approval from the United Nations Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for dolutegravir 50 mg tablet.
Patel Engineering shares were up over 4 per cent after the company along with its joint venture partner, has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for an irrigation project of Rs 249.96 crore.
Oil India shares were up over 3 per cent after its plans to invest Rs 25,000 crore in clean energy projects.
Bharat Forge stock hit a 52 week high after Paramount announced a broadening of its development and manufacturing partnership with Bharat Forge Ltd.

Asian stocks rose strongly on Friday, extending a global equity rally, after better-than-expected Chinese economic data added to the good vibes from expectations that tightening campaigns by the world's biggest central banks were close to over.
