The government-owned company in an exchange filing informed that it will pay 8 per cent dividend. IRFC is a Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.

According to a corporate filing, IRFC will pay Rs 0.80 dividend per share to its shareholders. The face value of each share of IRFC is Rs 10.
"Pursuant to Regulation 30 and 43 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulatious, 2015, as amended from time to time this is to inform that the Board of Directors have declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 0.80 per equity share of Rs 10 each," IRFC said in the filing.

IRFC has also announced the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for receiving dividends. The record date is November 18. It means that those having stocks of IRFC in Demat account on November 18 would receive the dividend. The dividend amount would be credited directly into their bank account linked to the Demat account.
"Further, as informed vide letter dated 4th November 2022, the "Record date" for determining eliglbility of shareholders for payment of the said interim Dividend, as declared by the Board is Friday, 18th November 2022," the company said.

IRFC stocks will trade ex-dividend date a trading session before the record date. Accordingly, IRFC stocks will trade ex-dividend on November 17.

IRFC in the second quarter of the current financial year reported a 14 per cent increase in its profit at Rs 1,714 crore. The company, which is the dedicated market borrowing arm of the Indian Railways, had earned a profit of Rs 1,501 crore in the same quarter of previous year.
The revenue from operations for Q2 FY23 also grew by 23.88 per cent to Rs 5,810 crore as against Rs 4,690 crore reported in the same period of last year.
