SGX Nifty, an early indicator of sentiments on Nifty50, was trading at 18,090.5 - up by over 131 points or 0.73 per cent. Asian benchmark indices were also trading positive in early trade. China's Shanghai Composite was trading at 3,157.64, up 2.42 points or 0.08 per cent while Korea's Kospi was 46.81 points or 2.04 per cent higher at 2,336.78. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index also advanced by 290.87 points or 1.39 per cent at 21,282.51.

US markets ended with strength on Friday and the positive sentiments have rubbed-off to global markets. All three indices - Dow 30, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite finished the session with 2 per cent gains.

Titan: Titan Limited has registered 12 per cent on-year growth in combined sales in the standalone business during the quarter that ended in December. This was backed by the healthy consumer demand during the festive season.

Lupin: Global pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA), Fesoterodine Fumarate Extended-Release Tablets, 4 mg and 8 mg, to market a generic equivalent of Toviaz Extended-Release Tablets, 4 mg and 8 mg, of Pfizer Inc.

Tata Consultancy Services: TCS, India's largest IT company, is likely to announce its third-quarter results today.
