Stocks to buy today, October 18: US Stocks too ended around 2 per cent higher on Monday.

Stocks to buy today, October 18: Indian benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 are likely to have a positive start on Tuesday as SGX Nifty - which is traded on the Singapore stock exchange - traded over 147 points, or 0.85 per cent, higher in the early trade. Asia-Pacific markets too showed positive sentiments as all of them traded in the green in early trade. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 1.46 per cent and South Korea's Kospi gained 1.13 per cent. MSCI's broadest index of Asia Pacific shares outside Japan jumped 0.46 per cent.

US Stocks too ended around 2 per cent higher on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 827.87 points, or 2.83 per cent, to 30,038.72, the S&P 500 gained 92.88 points, or 2.60 per cent, to 3,669.91 and the Nasdaq Composite added 232.05 points, or 2.23 per cent, to 10,649.15.

Earlier, the BSE Sensex jumped 491.01 points or 0.85 per cent to settle at 58,410.98 and NSE Nifty climbed 126.10 points or 0.73 per cent to close above the 17,300 level at 17,311.80.
