Superstar of 2022: Bharti Airtel can give return of up to 30% in 12 months, says Hemag Jani of Motilal Oswal

In the latest show of '2022 ke Superstar' with Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi, Hemang Jani of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) recommended a telecom stock as his trading idea going forward in the next year.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd expert said almost all major players in this segment has recently hiked tariff by 20%, which is certainly going to help Airtel too.

In the latest show of '2022 ke Superstar' with Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi, Hemang Jani of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) recommended a telecom stock as his trading idea going forward in the next year.  

Picking Bharti Airtel, MOFSL expert said that Airtel is poised for an upside of 25 to 30 per cent in one year. "We are putting a price target of Rs 920 in 12 months for this counter," said Jani.

There are a few reasons behind picking this share from telecom space, he said.  

Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd expert said almost all major players in this segment has recently hiked tariff by 20%, which is certainly going to help Airtel too.  

With the kind of client-base Airtel boasts of, the telecom share can see a good jump in the next two-three years, he said.

"Bank guarantees released by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will also improve cash flow and balance sheet position. Besides, Bharti has been really doing excellent work as far as adding news subscribers are concerned. They have added a big chunk of market share on this front," added Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd analyst.

At around 2.25 pm, shares of Bharti Airtel were trading with minor gain of Rs 5.85 (0.89%) to Rs 664.10 on the BSE in Tuesday's intraday trade.
