TOP HEADLINES TODAY – The US Markets witnessed good momentum on the third consecutive day on Tuesday as S&P and Nasdaq made new highs. Meanwhile, Dow traded in a range and ended up 30 points from the last closing.

The SGX Nifty settled around 16,675, gaining by almost 50 points. Dow Futures flat while Nikkei up by almost 100 points.

In the commodities market, Brent Crude continues to gains and was up by 3 per cent crossing USD 71. Meanwhile, Silver Futures were up by Rs 600 to end at Rs 63,540 per kg and MCX Gold Futures ended flat around Rs 47000 per 10 gram on Tuesday.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be meeting the CEOs of PSU Banks. Markets will be keeping a close watch on the Press Conference in Mumbai around 1:30 pm.

In the telecoms space, Bharti Airtel gets a Supreme Court relief in Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) issue. The Deportment of Telecommunications (DoT) cannot encash bank guarantees for three months. The apex court also allowed the company to approach TDSAT on the issue of Videocon AGR dues.

The Government is mulling on allowing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in LIC. This will allow foreign investors to buy stake.

The markets will be keeping an eye on the Cabinet meeting and important meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs.
