Infosys ropes in tennis World No.1 Iga Swiatek as Brand Ambassador a day after signing deal with Rafael Nadal
Infosys has been the digital innovation partner for tennis events like the ATP Tour, Roland-Garros, Australian Open and The International Tennis Hall of Fame. Infosys will collaborate with Nadal on the development of cutting-edge digital innovation projects.
Shares of the IT giant were under focus on Friday after Infosys roped in tennis icon Rafael Nadal and women’s tennis World No 1 Iga Swiatek as its Brand Ambassadors to promote its Digital Innovation.
In a filing to the stock exchanges on Friday, Infosys said that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with women’s tennis World No.1 Iga Świątek.
“Infosys will now work closely with Swiątek’s team to build an advanced data analytics and video dashboard by leveraging AI to amplify her training and help rapidly evolve her strengths and match strategy through continuous learning,” the company said.

Infosys deal with Rafael Nadal
On Thursday, Infosys announced entering into a three-year partnership with tennis legend Rafael Nadal. The 22-time Grand Slam champion will serve as the Brand Ambassador for the brand and Infosys Digital Innovation. Infosys will be collaborating with Nadal on the development of cutting-edge digital innovation projects.
As part of the partnership, Infosys and Nadal's coaching team will work together to create an AI-powered match analysis tool. The AI-driven tool will use real-time data analysis to provide Nadal's coaching team with instant insights during his live matches. The tool will also use historical data from Nadal’s older matches, according to Infosys.
The Bengaluru-based IT giant has been the digital innovation partner for tennis events like the ATP Tour, Roland-Garros, Australian Open, and The International Tennis Hall of Fame. The company has introduced AI, cloud computing, data analytics and immersive digital experiences to captivate the global tennis audience.
Infosys has pioneered video and statistics analysis platforms for players and coaches, transforming training methodologies. Additionally, AI-assisted journalism platforms have enhanced match analysis for broadcasters, generating engaging content for fans worldwide. Infosys has also explored innovative digital initiatives, such as mixed reality, social virtual reality (VR) and 3D art museums, which enrich the sport's history and heritage.
Infosys Q1 results
Last month, Infosys reported a 3.1 per cent decline sequentially in its net profit to Rs 5,945 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2023. On a year-on-year basis net profit was up by 10.9 per cent.
The Bengaluru-based company’s revenue grew 1.3 per cent QoQ to Rs 37,933 crore in Q1FY24. Revenue of the company grew 10 per cent YoY. Its operating margins dropped 20 basis points to 20.8 per cent.
Shares of Infosys closed at Rs 1,417.20 apiece, down 0.51 per cent, on BSE on Friday.
