Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, BPCL, HCL Tech and TCS are among the top losers, down nearly 2-1 per cent. On the other hand, NTPC, Power Grid, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports and JSW Steel are among the top gainers in the Nifty basket, trading with gains of around 4-1 per cent.

Indian Oil Q1 results | Net profit jumps 37% sequentially to Rs 13,750 crore, beats Street estimates
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Friday reports a standalone net profit of Rs 13,750.4 crore for the quarter ended June 2023, beating analysts' estimates. That translated into an increase of 36.7 per cent compared with the previous three months.
The state-run oil marketing company's revenue, however, contracts to Rs 2,21,145.4 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year, from Rs 2,26,492.1 crore for the quarter ended March, according to a regulatory filing. Read more

Maruti Suzuki India Q1 results preview | Auto major likely to post robust nos; PAT estimated to rise 148.8%
Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), India's leading car manufacturer, is expected to post strong numbers for the quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24). The company is slated to announce its financial results for the quarter on Monday, July 31.
The auto major, as per Zee Business Research, is expected to post standalone revenue of Rs 31,650 crore, up 19.4 per cent year-on-year (YoY), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) are projected to grow 75.2 per cent to Rs 3,350 crore. The company posted an EBITDA of Rs 1,912 crore in the June 2022 quarter. Profit after tax (PAT), or net profit, is seen at Rs 2,520 crore, up 148.8 per cent against Rs 1,013 crore in the year-ago period. Read more

Shares of Intellect Design Arena, a software and consulting firm, zooms over 18 per cent in Friday's trading session to hit a 52-week high of Rs 691.6 apiece on the BSE. The stock is in demand after the company reported encouraging numbers for the June quarter.

The software and consulting firm posted a 36 per cent rise in PAT at Rs 93 crore against Rs 68.77 crore a year ago. The total revenue of the company stood at Rs 644 crore against Rs 540.46 crore year-on-year (YoY). The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, or EBITDA, stood at Rs 155.07 crore against Rs 116.16 crore YoY. Share Market Today LIVE | Ajanta Pharma hits record high on impressive Q1 nos, 1,250% dividend payout
Shares of Ajanta Pharma trades at Rs 1675.15, up 8.34 per cent on BSE. The counter hit a lifetime high of Rs 1,682.05 apiece on the BSE in the early morning trade on Friday, a day after the company reported its June quarter (Q1FY24) numbers.
The company, in its earnings release, said that its revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,021 crore against Rs 951 crore in the year-ago period, up 7 per cent. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter under review came in at Rs 271 crore, up 22 per cent year-on-year (YoY). Its Profit after tax (PAT) surged 19 per cent YoY to Rs 208 crore against Rs 175 crore registered in the year-ago quarter. Read more
