Ashok Leyland, Godrej Consumer, Pidilite, Sanofi India: Stocks to watch out for on Thursday
Nifty ended at 19,443.5, up 36.80 points, while Sensex advanced 33.21 points to 64,975.6. Broader markets extended their streak of outperformance as midcaps soared by 0.99% while smallcaps gained 0.70%.
At around 8:14 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, the GIFT Nifty futures traded with a positive bias, up 0.16 per cent or 30.5 points at 19,531.5, suggesting a positive start to trading on Dalal Street.
In a range-bound session, Indian equity benchmarks ended higher in Wednesday’s trade led by gains in realty and healthcare stocks. Nifty ended at 19,443.5, up 36.80 points, while Sensex advanced 33.21 points to 64,975.6. Broader markets extended their streak of outperformance as midcaps soared by 0.99% while smallcaps gained 0.70%.

Results today, November 9: ABB India, Action Construction,Ashok Leyland, Aurobindo Pharma, Page Industries, Bajaj Consumer, BEML, Force Motors, Campus Activewear, Antony Waste Handling, Coffee Day Enterprises, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Alankit, eClerx, Graphite India, Granules India, GMM Pfaudler, Indo Amines, RattanIndia Enterprises, ITI, Jet Airways, Lemon Tree, Matrimony.com, Ramco Cements and Bosch, among others, will announce their results for the second quarter (Q2FY24) on Tuesday.
Pidilite: Profit at the company increased 36 per cent on year to Rs 458.53 crore in Q2.
Bata India: Net profit at the company declined 38 per cent on year on an over 1 per cent fall in revenue from operations during the July-September period.
Sanofi India: The pharma major posted a good set of numbers for Q2 with standalone net profit increasing to Rs 152 crore from Rs 130 crore in the same period last year.
Lupin: For the September quarter, the company posted strong results with margins inching higher to 18.2 per cent versus 11 per cent in the corresponding period last year.
Tata Power: Profits at the utility company soared 7 per cent on-year as the company showed good operational performance during Q2.
BHEL: Execution has been once again the key issue and amid it the company posted weak September quarter results.The company during the reporting quarter clocked a loss of Rs 233.4 crore as against of Rs 10 crore profit in the same quarter last year.
GNFC: The fertilisers company's profit inched 24 per lower YoY. Also, the company approved share buyback @ Rs 770 per share which is only an 11.4 per cent premium to Wednesday's closing.
PI Industries: The agrochemicals company posted strong operational performance. Management has evinced its confidence of strong revenue growth and margins
United spirits: The company posted good results for the September quarterly results. The stock is trading near its life-time high.
Welspun Corp: The company turned profitable during the September quarter and reported PAT at Rs 385 crore versus Rs 57 crore loss in the same period last year.
Eris Lifesciences and Biocon: The former is set to buy Dermatology and Nephrology branded formulation business from Biocon biologics for Rs 366 crore.
Corporate actions: Godrej Consumer Products and Nippon Life AMC will trade ex-dividend today, while HP Adhesives shares will split from the previous face value of Rs 10 to Rs 2.
