What is ex-bonus trade?

When a stock trades ex-bonus, its market price is adjusted by subtracting the bonus payout. Bonus is a type of corporate action meant to reward shareholders.

Astral bonus ratio: Where does it stand and what does it mean?

The Astral bonus issue is in the ratio of 1:3, meaning one bonus share will be issued against every three shares held. For instance, an investor holding 60 Astral shares will get 20 bonus shares given the bonus ratio.

Astral bonus news: Record date

Earlier, the company had fixed March 14 as the record date for the issuance of the bonus.

A record date determines which shareholders qualify to benefit from corporate action such as issuance of bonus shares.
