The mining major’s board has already fixed December 27 as the record date for any such dividend, if declared today.

"Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, December 27, 2023,” Vedanta's regulatory filing read.
